2 Months Old! Well Jordyn had her 2 month shots this week. She got four, plus an oral vaccine. She was not feeling well after that, very fussy and not herself. Lauren had a very hard time with her getting shots even though Aaron was with Jordyn. But, trooper that she is, by the next day Jordyn was fine. At the appointment we found out she weighs just under 12 pounds and has grown a bit more. She is doing well and is right around the 50th percentile for her age group. She and Lauren went to Gymboree for a 0-6 month old class and they had a good time even though Jordyn was fussy and had to be fed and cuddled so they didn't do very many of the activities.
Tomorrow Lauren goes back to work, 3 weeks early but it is for an exciting reason that will be detailed more in our family blog very soon. So Lauren and Jordyn have one more day of togetherness before Lauren returns to work.

6 Weeks Old!

Jordyn is now 6 weeks old and she is changing so much. Two nights in a row she slept for 7 hours, which meant we got at least 6 hours sleep all together. We are hoping she will start making that a habit. She is also starting to make noises, "talking" to us quite a bit. And she has been smiling! She seems to be smiling in response to us, but of course it is sporadic still - although she does have a pretty smile. Here is Jordyn with her first smile on camera, a total surprise when she was getting a picture taken with her Auntie Pam.

A few weekends ago we finally made it over to see our friend Michelle's baby who was born 8 days after Jordyn. They are about the same length now but Jordyn has 4 pounds on Skylar. We had a good time swapping baby experiences and comparing babies. Both girls did really well and we can't wait til they are a little older to be able to play together. Here are a few pics we took of the girls, the mommies and the daddies.

One month old!
Ok, we are slackers but our girl is a handful! Jordyn is now one month old, well actually 5 weeks tomorrow. She is doing great. Her hair is lightening and looks light brown but definitely has some red and gold in it. We can't wait to see what color it turns out to be. Her eyes are getting lighter but are still blue. We had a doctor's appointment this week and she is now 10 pounds 2 ounces and has grown about an inch and a half. She does have the baby acne and the doctor said right now it is at its peak and by about 2 months it should go away. Poor thing. Jordyn sleeps pretty well and usually gives us about 4 hours in between feedings at night so we can get some good sleep. She does get fussy but its usually just because she is hungry, wet or overtired. We are figuring eachother out but its going well.
We did get her a Halloween costume but when she got put in it she was not a happy camper so we will do makeup pics and get some up on the blog soon. Here are some pictures to hold everyone over until we get the halloween picture.

Here is Jodryn with her Daddy. She needed a nap after downloading music on Itunes. This was a great time for both Jordyn and Daddy.
