Teeth, teeth, teeth.
Jordyn's upper and lower molars have come in and now she is actively getting all the teeth in between the molars and the 4 front ones she's got on the top and bottom, and on both sides. She is taking it really well but chewing on everything and drooling tons. Hopefully by the end of the month they will have cut through so she can be more comfortable.
I also forgot to mention in the last post that Jordyn sleep talks. Its pretty cute. While on our trip she would start talking - and she doesn't have that many words yet - but she would say 'daddy' and 'hi' or 'boppy'. She does it at home a bit, too, though we don't hear her too often since we are not sharing a room. :)

Jordyn has added another stamp to her passport - and she's barely 1 year old! As we posted on our famiy site, we went to Cozumel (across from Cancun) just after Christmas through New Years. This trip was a little more difficult because Jordyn is walking and wants to explore. Dangerous in an unfamiliar place and around water, but we survived. Her new word is 'water' and she loved looking at it. She enjoyed being around the water and the ocean but was not keen on having the water come up to touch her feet. She did splash in the pool a bit but the pool water was very cold. She also liked to walk along the beach and pick up shells. We also had a bit of an issue with Jordy's eating because she was so distracted by everything around her she was not paying attention to what she was putting in her mouth and at so much she threw up twice! Jordyn ended up with a nice tan despite the fact that we tried very hard to keep her sunscreened. She had a great time playing with Boppy (Lauren's dad), Grandma, Auntie Pammie and Uncle Scotty. Now she sees photos of them at home and points to them and calls them by name! Another first, Jordyn went on her first boat ride - and did quite well! Here are just a few photos from our camera. We have 2 cd's of photos from Lauren's parents and brother and sister to go through, too.

It occurs to me we should also mention Jordyn's Christmas. She still doesn't quite get the whole phenomenon and loved the paper and boxes and bows. She has had more fun with her presents this week than she did the day of but again she gets so distracted when lots of stuff is going on that it is hard for her to focus on anything, at least not for long. Her Grandma Ellen and Grandpa LD gave her a horsie that she can sit on and make it sing or talk and she loves it. Santa brough her an Elmo chair which she also likes sitting in. Grandma Anita and Boppy gave Jordyn a baby doll that she has taken to picking up and giving kisses to. It is very sweet. She got lots of other presents, each of which are great. Jordyn got lots of books which she likes looking at - not being read to, she'd rather go at her own pace :)
